The Triune God rescues us, gives us life, and calls us into his own family! This passage speaks into our identity as sons and daughters of God, who have been raised with Christ to life.
Paul has established that by faith we have been set from sin by Jesus – but we, like Paul, still struggle with our own brokenness and sin. What does that mean about us and our faith?
By Grace we are set free from our bondage to sin and the weight of the Law – we are liberated to belong to Jesus!
Because Adam fell into sin, we all fell with him. Our guilt and trespass before God is clear, but Christ has come as the new and better Adam who provides us with super-abounding Grace!
Paul looks back to Abraham, showing that it was faith that made him righteous, and that God’s promises to us rest on His grace…
